A Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) gives parents and staff an opportunity to work together to help meet the needs of the students and staff of the schools in the community.

In Colfax, WA, we have a thriving PTO that works to enrich and supplement the educational experience of Jennings Elementary and Colfax Junior/Senior High School.

The PTO meets 5 times a year to talk about the schools, discuss teacher needs/requests, brainstorm enrichment opportunities for students, plan events, and organize fundraisers.

  • Our meetings take place in the library at Jennings Elementary School.

  • The PTO collects Class Fun Money for each student to help out the teachers with party supplies throughout the year, to provide enrichment opportunities for students, and for the end of the year picnics.

    We collect $10/student or $25 for families with 3 or more students.

  • We are here to serve the needs of the schools- we provide enrichment for activities throughout the year, fulfill teacher requests for their classrooms, host two book fairs a year, collect party money which goes to each classroom, and so much more.
